Visiting Day 2010

Parents are invited to visit on our Visiting Day on Sunday, July 18th, from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. Siblings, grandparents, aunts/uncles, etc., are welcome. We ask that no pets attend Visiting Day. Parents will be given the opportunity to re-enroll your daughter(s) for the summer of 2011 on Visiting Day.

At 8:30AM, on Sunday July 18th, we will unlock the front gate and you will be given a package containing your daughter's schedule, an itinerary of Visiting Day, and some other camp literature which will be of interest to you. We will direct you where to park, and your daughter(s) will greet you on the lawn in front of the Dining Hall at 9:00AM after breakfast.

If you will NOT be attending Visiting Day, a trip out of camp will be planned for all campers. Please contact Annie at annie.rosen@matoaka.com or Dani at dani.abrams@matoaka.com. You may also call Dani or Annie at 207-362-2500 if you will not be attending Visiting Day and you would like your daughter to be involved with the trip out of camp.

If your daughter is a first session camper and would like to stay for the full season, you may be able to extend your her camping experience for the last session of the summer. Please call us as soon as possible if you are considering this option, as space is extremely limited.

Last summer, over 90 percent of families who attended Visiting Day re-enrolled for the following summer; almost all age groups were full by the end of August. So, please be sure to sign up if you want your daughter to attend camp in 2011. If you are not attending Visiting Day, you will still have the option to enroll your daughter online. The re-enrollment deposit will remain at $1000.

On Visiting Day, we will have our 2011 applications available in the office along with a gift of an individual photo of your daughter and bunk photo.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call us. We look forward to seeing you on Visiting Day.
